1. THE SERVICE

TORKO is an OBD2 diagnostic app: it reads fault codes, mileage and control module status through an OBD2 adapter, explains the results and keeps a per-VIN history.

2. DATA COLLECTION

By using TORKO you agree that diagnostic data (VIN, make, model, fault codes, control module responses, mileage, scan dates, adapter information) is collected and stored on our servers. It is stored against the VIN and used as described in the Privacy Policy, including passing on or selling anonymized data to vehicle-history partners. Data collection cannot be switched off — it is an inseparable part of the service.

3. YOUR CONFIRMATIONS

You confirm that you are entitled to connect to the vehicle you scan and to read its data (you are the owner or user, or you have the owner's permission).

4. NOT PROFESSIONAL DIAGNOSTICS

Results and AI explanations are informational and do not replace professional diagnostics or a technical inspection. Repair and driving decisions are yours.

5. BETA FEATURES

Component tests, service reset and the write probe are experimental (Beta). They send commands to control modules. Use them only if you understand what you are doing, with the car stationary and the stated conditions met. We are not liable for damage caused by using Beta features.

6. ADAPTER

The app works with BLE and WiFi ELM327-type adapters. Cheap clones can be unstable — that is not an app defect.

7. PRICE

TORKO is free. Every feature is available to every registered user; only AI explanations have a monthly limit. There are no in-app purchases and no subscription. If paid features appear later, you will be told before they are switched on.

8. ACCOUNT

You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. You can delete your account any time — Settings → Delete account.

9. CHANGES

If the terms change we will ask you to accept them again. Continued use means acceptance of the new version.

10. PARTNER LINKS

Some screens link to partner services (for example carVertical vehicle history reports). Those links give you a discount and earn us a commission. The service and the report are provided by that partner, not by TORKO.
