P0770 Shift solenoid E
What P0770 means
The transmission control unit has found an electrical or performance fault with shift solenoid E. On many gearboxes this solenoid controls line pressure or lock-up, so shifts may be harsh or the gearbox may enter limp mode.
P0770 is a generic SAE J2012 code: it means the same on every make. The exact cause still depends on the car, so read the freeze-frame data before replacing parts.

Can I keep driving with P0770?
You can drive carefully, but have it checked within one to two weeks.
What to check first
- Check transmission fluid level and condition
- Inspect the gearbox connector
- Measure the solenoid resistance and command it with a scan tool
- Replace the solenoid, solenoid pack or harness
