P0452 EVAP pressure sensor/switch A circuit low
What P0452 means
The engine control unit sees a voltage from the fuel tank pressure sensor that is below the normal range. The EVAP leak test cannot run until the signal is correct.
P0452 is a generic SAE J2012 code: it means the same on every make. The exact cause still depends on the car, so read the freeze-frame data before replacing parts.

Symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Usually no change in driving
Common causes
- Faulty fuel tank pressure sensor
- Signal wire shorted to ground
- Open 5-volt reference to the sensor
- Corroded connector at the tank
Can I keep driving with P0452?
You can keep driving, but have it checked within one to two weeks.
What to check first
- Inspect the sensor connector on or near the fuel tank for corrosion
- Measure the 5-volt reference, ground and signal at the sensor
- Check the signal wire for a short to ground
- Replace the sensor if the wiring is good
