P0332 Knock sensor B circuit low (bank 2)
What P0332 means
The signal from knock sensor B (bank 2, or the second sensor) is lower than the engine computer considers possible. It cannot detect knock on those cylinders and retards ignition timing as a precaution.
P0332 is a generic SAE J2012 code: it means the same on every make. The exact cause still depends on the car, so read the freeze-frame data before replacing parts.

Symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Reduced power from retarded ignition timing
- Higher fuel consumption
- Possible audible pinging under load
Common causes
- Unplugged connector or open circuit in the wiring
- Signal wire shorted to ground
- Failed knock sensor
- Sensor loose on its mounting
Can I keep driving with P0332?
You can drive, but have it checked within one to two weeks. Use the correct fuel grade and avoid heavy load or full throttle, because knock protection is reduced.
What to check first
- Check that the knock sensor B connector is plugged in and undamaged.
- Check the wiring for breaks and shorts to ground, especially under the intake manifold.
- Check the sensor mounting torque.
- Measure the sensor resistance and replace it if it is out of specification.
