P0237 Turbocharger/supercharger boost sensor A circuit low
What P0237 means
The voltage from the boost pressure sensor is lower than the engine computer considers possible. It stops using the sensor and usually limits boost and engine power.
P0237 is a generic SAE J2012 code: it means the same on every make. The exact cause still depends on the car, so read the freeze-frame data before replacing parts.

Symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Reduced power or limp mode
- Poor acceleration
Common causes
- Failed boost pressure sensor
- Open circuit in the 5 V reference wire
- Signal wire shorted to ground
- Unplugged or corroded connector
Can I keep driving with P0237?
You can drive, but have it checked within one to two weeks. Expect reduced power if the engine computer switches to limp mode.
What to check first
- Check the sensor connector is plugged in and clean.
- Measure the 5 V reference and ground at the connector with the key on.
- Check the signal wire for a short to ground.
- Replace the sensor if the wiring is good.
